Well, Blogspot has decided that I have shared enough photos and will not allow a single one more!  That is probably a good thing, actually.  I took over 4,000 photos on our Ugandan adventure and would have kept sharing ad nauseum had I not been stopped!  Plus, I am leaving for Ecuador and the Galapagos tomorrow and you know what that means....more photos!  But, I digress...

Johnny Depp said it best:  "You can close your eyes to the things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart."  ...and that, my friends, is Uganda.

It is a place that creeps into your soul and becomes a part of you are.  It is images that stay with you and weave themselves into the fiber of your being, images that grab your heart and will not let go.  Uganda is known as the "Pearl of Africa".  It is a place with great potential, a diamond in the rough, waiting and striving to be a priceless "home" to all who visit.

I will return.

This was taken from an article written by an almost 30 year old traveler.  Such insight...Truer words were never spoken.

"Traveling will change you like little else can. It will put you in places that will force you to care for issues that are bigger than you. You will begin to understand that the world is both very large and very small. You will have a newfound respect for pain and suffering, having seen that two-thirds of humanity struggle to simply get a meal each day...Traveling allows you to feel more connected to your fellow human beings in a deep and lasting way, like little else can. In other words, it makes you more human."
